Shin Kushiya

Hi everyone!
A few weeks back, I went to Suntec, and ate at this place:
Shin Kushiya
I only took pictures of the desserts, so here you go!

That's the Tofu Cheesecake they served there.

It's really smooth and soft! =DD

And I can't rememebr what this is called.

It's some jelly like stuff. Tastes like Green tea =)))

I like this!!!

It's Green Tea icecream with something like a MuaChii we get at those Pasa Malam. The MuaChii thingy is warm, and it contrasts well with the cold icecream!! ^^

Crystal!

Takoyaki Event

I intend to post it here to tell u guys that Takoyaki making is fun! Anyway apparently, everyone was squeezing together fighting for a place to make this takoballs.

As you can see, below, the mould is the Takoyaki pan - make of cast iron and the below is the heat source.

The holes for each tako ball is filled with the batter, the ingredients are placed inside. This time we use hotdog, cheese, sotong(squid) and crabmeat=)

And then after the sides are slight cooked or so called harden, u start to flip it and add more batter to the tako balls which is only half complete and oso to make it look rounder.

And then u turn and turn and turn and be patient with it. U get something nice, round and shiny like the one below ! (above make by participants, below one make by us=D)

And whe it get fully cooked, it will browned and look something like that ~

And TADA~! with mayo, sauce and bonito flakes, delicious takoyakis are born~~!!!

Anyone who wants to try can wait until the first week of Actual sch reopening and go to JCG bazaar probably at design floyer at 4 for $2=D

Or you can buy ur own tako pan and tools to make ur own tako balls. I will probably post the recipe for the batter some time=D

.

There is food platings, beautiful ones almost at every page of the book.
Then each issue they will tell u more about different types of food ingredients and how to handle them. This mth is on meat and mushrooms.

And of course wine, how to drink, taste wine and wat types of wine in different countries.

And of course recipes. Alot ranging from desserts, to asian, to western, thailand, vietnam, indian and these recipes are Chef recipes.

Since this book is about Gourmet, of course different Chefs wll be shown, interview and introduce in this magazine.

So if u are feeling that u have nothing to buy, u are bored and there is nthg to watch in tv or computer games are boring.....Go to Times Bookshop or any other Major bookstore like Kinokuniya etc and flip through these magazines or even buy them for future use.
